FAQs

Australian Portable Buildings - Frequently Asked Questions

How much will it cost?

A modular building solution from Australian Portable Buildings generally costs from 20% to 40% less than the equivalent building built on site.

What is the delivery time?

Delivery times are a fraction of the time required for an equivalent site-built building.

Typical times, depending on building size, are:

Design & procurement – 1 to 2 weeks

Construction – 2 to 5 days

Installation – 0.5 to 3 days

Is Council approval required?

Building &/or Town Planning Permit Approval is required in most Domestic, Commercial and Industrial locations.  APB buildings are designed to meet the relevant building codes in most areas and full engineering documentation is available.

What foundations and services will be needed?

Buildings are mounted on brick, concrete block or steel piers and, in most situations, with tie downs.  Pier spacing will be engineered to your specific situation and requirements.

Our buildings are provided with connection points for water, sewer and power, where applicable.  Our installation team can connect these as part of our installation service if required.

Can it link to existing buildings?

Yes, we can design and supply link modules suitable for most types of existing buildings.

Can I rent or lease my new building?

Yes, APB offers flexible and tax effective solutions for purchase, lease or short to long term rental of your new building.
